We went to the fabulous Surrey Hills Wood Fair in October, held in Cranleigh. It is a celebration of all things wooden, other crafts and wildlife. Rosanna Clare had a stall there selling her handmade leather bags, belts and other items.
She also had an area set up where you could make your own earrings. While my family ran around the field, I had a peaceful time learning to make a pair of leather earrings. They were simple to make but looked incredibly effective.
As Christmas approached, my thoughts turned to presents, so I decided to make some earrings for family, friends and myself. As with the Polymer Clay Jewelleryhttps://mytealgiraffe.com/polymer-clay-jewellery/, eBay was a great source for leather scraps and earrings fixings, so I stocked up and got to work. It was so nice to meet up with a friend for coffee and she was wearing the earrings I had made for her.
Since that time, Yard Market have started stocking Rosanna’s leather items and some earring kits.
She also does a variety of different courses at her studio at Smithbrook Kilns, near Cranleigh. Further details can be found on her website rosannaclare.co.uk
